| With this package installed, you shouldn't need to install any other codec or
filter.

Codecs have always been a pain in the butt. This package
takes from the best, all the big name creators, several small guys too, and
compiles all this into a single pack. All possible conflicts are already dealt
with, many user suggested default settings are
implemented.
This package does not contain a media player. This
package does not associates filetypes. With this package installed, you will be
able to use any media player to play DVD's, movies and video clips such
as quicktime, realmedia, avi, mpeg, Flv, swf, wmv, etc. Streaming video
can be played within web browsers. By default, you shouldn't need to make
any adjustments to enjoy playback immediately.
Users now have the
ability to choose what is installed using the public redistributable and
after an unattended install, you can select to remove specific portions
without removing the entire package. Future releases will recognize previous
releases and perform upgrade installations.
This package contains
QuickTime v7.1.3 components with the tray icon permanently
disabled.
The recommended unattended installation is to utilize
either of these tools to integrate the supplied integration file into your
source media. 1. RVM Integrator or 2. nLite.
- Here is the integration file which contains all the
information and files required for localized usage although it will need
to be repackaged. Note: The switchless installer inside the integration
file was renamed to vcpack.exe.
Known Issue for v4.1.6: I
discovered a minor problem with AAC audio associated with some MP4 and
3gp files. I offer this HOTFIX
(329kb) executable to fix it now. More information
is posted here.
This package currently supports 15 localized
installations: The default install is English including support for the
following other languages; Chinese Simplified/Traditional, Japanese, Czech,
Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Polish and
Turkish
